Pretend you were there project
For this project, we had to put a picture of us into another picture and pretend we were there. As you can see, mine did not go so well. I tried to blend in my hair with hers and it kinda worked but I could not match my skin tone with hers. I tried to use the burn tool to help even it out but it didn't work. My face looks huge in the picture and it wasn't much of a success. I tried a lot of tools but nothing really worked. However I did learn to place my face into a picture.
Album covers
For this project, we had to create an album cover based on a song that we chose. For my song, I chose "Impossible Year" by Panic! at the Disco. We had to create the album cover based on the lyrics of the song. When I looked at the lyrics, they were very depressing and dark. So I created a grey and black background gradient and then smudged it out. I used a few other brushes to create a sort of fire shape at the bottom and blended it in to the other colors.
For the second album cover, we were given a song and then had to make an album cover based on that. I was given the song "Happy" by Holly Williams. While I was looking at the lyrics, I picked out words that were in the song and placed them on my album cover. For example she stated "Yeah I built these fires and left ashes in my path." So I used a fire brush tool and also used a path and a pile of ashes in my album cover. I think this one is a lot better than my first attempt by a lot. I figured out how to download the brush tool, and I also put my images in a lot better.
T-shirt design
For this project, we were required to take one of our album covers and turn it into a T-shirt design. I chose my first album cover which was Panic! at the Disco. I decided to make a design about their current tour called "The Death of a Bachelor Tour". I included the tour dates on a different side and the front side states the tour. So it looks like a shirt that you would purchase if you did go to a tour. I added a photo of the lead singer and finished by putting Wordart in the picture with Publisher. With this project, I learned how to get a clean image out of cropping a picture and using a different brush tool.
